Located on a hill a bit above the city of Fez with a panoramic view on the old Medina and new city (La-Ville-Nouvelle), the Merinid tombs were built in the 14th century during the reign period of Merinides. From the top of this hill, you can enjoy the great view on the historical and religious buildings of Fez. It has a fabulous view on the whole city as well as the region’s natural landscapes. Once you gaze down the hill, you will see the famous gate, Bab Guissa.
